Guitar Hero III Event in NYC
To celebrate the launch of the Guinness World Records Gamer’s Edition 2008, Guinness World Records will be hosting Guitar Hero III record breaking attempt on March 11 in New York City. The event will feature three record breaking attempts as Guinness World Records invites the public to try and break the current Guinness World Records for the highest score for a single song, the highest score for a team of six, and the longest Guitar Hero III marathon.
Special guests set to attend include Chris “iamChris4life” Chike, one of the top Guitar Hero players in the world, members of the all girl gaming clan The Fragdolls, and Guitar Hero creator Kai Huang.
The event is free and open to the public. Any person wishing to compete need only show up, ready to shred. For the highest score for a team of six record, six players will play on a single guitar, with one person strumming, and the remaining five manning each of the notes.
